Homeward Path 59: Knowing (and Slowing) Your Role

How do I need to approach this matchup/game/turn? What am I supposed to be doing?

These are questions that become much easier to answer with a little look at the role you’re playing. We dive deep into the theory behind determining who is the aggressor, and who is defending. Sometimes the answer isn’t obvious, and the answer often changes as games and matches progress. It’s important to always be asking the right questions, and put yourself in a position to win tight games.

Homeward Path 57: Constrained in the Membrane

How much do we consider the constraints of the formats we’re playing when choosing which decks/cards/sideboarding approaches to adopt? More than I thought, less than I’d hoped is usually my answer, but we can work through this! It’s important to consider not just the constraints of the format as a whole, but even the area metagame, even down to the game in front of you. This week, we’re boiling it down to two key factors to consider as the constraints on your decision-making!
